Roger Gallagher

Roger Gallagher created the Roger Gallagher Scholarship for Entrepreneurs to support undergraduate students who understand that building a business—or a career defined by entrepreneurial thinking—requires more than technical skill. It requires resilience, integrity, long-term perspective, and the willingness to learn from failure. As a fourth-generation wealth management professional with 15 years of experience advising families and businesses, Roger has seen firsthand that sustainable success isn’t built on shortcuts, hype, or performance metrics alone. It’s built on relationships, disciplined execution, and a commitment to creating value that endures.

Throughout his career—from nearly 14 years at Morgan Stanley to over a decade leading strategy for an Exempt Single Family Office—Roger has worked with founders, executives, and next-generation family members navigating the complexities of wealth, governance, and legacy. He’s witnessed the difference between businesses that scale responsibly and those that collapse under their own momentum. He’s seen the importance of mentorship, education, and investing in people who think beyond the next quarter. This scholarship reflects those values: it’s not about rewarding perfect grades or polished credentials—it’s about supporting students who are willing to take risks, ask hard questions, and build something meaningful. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science in History and Classical & Ancient Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder and is an active member of The Guardsmen, a San Francisco nonprofit dedicated to education and mentorship.
